Francisco Donoso
Francisco Donoso, born in Quito, Ecuador by way of Miami, Florida, joined Groundswell in February 2017 as the Youth Development Associate. He finds himself at the intersections of art, education and social justice, with a love for youth empowerment. He is also a Youth Advocate with the Parsons Scholars Program and a member of Art Future NYC, a collective focused on expanding higher ed & art+design career access to underrepresented youth in NYC. He holds a BFA from SUNY Purchase College and maintains his studio practice in Inwood, NYC. Previous to joining the Groundswell family, Francisco was a Van Lier Artist Fellow at Wave Hill and has completed several residencies throughout New York. He believes in the power of art as a tool for social change and personal transformation.
