Closing the Opportunity Gap

All across the United States, young people face an opportunity gap.
Nearly 6 million young people today are neither in school nor working, according to a study prepared by the Opportunity Nation coalition.
That's almost 15 percent of youth aged 16 to 24.
These young people aren't just not working, they are missing out on a critical window to develop the 21st century skills they will need to build successful careers.
Not at Groundswell.
At Groundswell, young people don't just work, they develop job skills and professional experience that increase their competitiveness in the job market, making them more attractive to future employers.
And did we mention they paint?
Groundswell is now recruiting for our Summer Leadership Institute, a paid seven-week opportunity for young people to create large-scale public art in their communities.
If you know someone that would benefit from this opportunity, invite them to set up a time to visit our studio for a short interview.
Together, we can help close the opportunity gap in NYC.
